Tiny Turtles classrooms do not have specific times for specific activities, as we plan our day according to the needs of the individual schedules of the babies in our care. However, during each day in the bunnies' one classroom, the babies will experience a variety of activities that will meet their physical and emotional needs. This classroom is equipped with materials that were chosen to foster the development of necessary gross and fine motor skills as well as helping to expose the babies to language and fun sensory experiences. Having each child on an individual schedule makes for a successful classroom, as you are able to meet the physical needs of one child while another is engaged in music play or a story with another teacher. Examples of activities that will occur (aside from eating, being changed and sleeping) throughout each day are as follows:
  • Tummy Time
  • Music and Movement
  • Manipulative Play
  • Art/Sensory Play
  • Outdoor Experiences
  • Hand Eye Coordination Exercises
  • Cause and Effect Activities
  • Story Time
  • Variety of Gross and Fine Motor Experiences
